The power receiver of the Iranian national volleyball team said: “We were doomed to win against Australia and we were able to win this game to improve the conditions of the team.”

According to “Varzesh Seh”, Amir Hossein Esfandiar stated after the match of the Iranian national team against Australia, which ended in a 3-1 victory for Iran: “I tell the players of the team not to get tired.” It was a good game and the Iranian team needed this win. We were doomed to defeat the opponent to improve the team. We had a bad game against the Netherlands, we lost and we were able to win the match against Australia and improve the situation.

He also said about Iran’s match against Japan: “Playing against Japan is definitely a tough competition.” Japan is always a good team and it is difficult to disrupt their team coordination and sometimes it is not even possible. It is difficult to play against this team and they do not leave the game even with a difference of 10 points.

In the end, Esfandiar noted: “We will definitely do our best to have the best performance in the game against Japan and win the game.”

Iranian men’s volleyball today (Sunday, June 12) will hold two matches less than 14 hours apart. They will face Japan in the second match of the first week of the League of Nations from 20:30 in the second match.
