The Interior Ministry announced Monday evening that wearing masks is no longer required in most enclosed spaces, although it will still be mandatory in holy sites in Mecca and Medina. The government also abolished the requirement to present a vaccination certificate to enter most enclosed spaces, including airplanes.

But travelers applying to enter the country for Hajj must still provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, the ministry said.
